Three lighting and fan updates in one visit

A dining-room dimmer, a reinstalled ceiling fan, and a simpler switch arrangement—each checked before the visit ended.

What needed attention

Three parts of the room were ready for an electrical update. The dining-room light needed adjustable control, a ceiling fan removed during wall restoration was ready to be reinstalled, and the customer wanted an existing stacked switch replaced with a single-pole switch.

Controls and fan installation

The standard dining-room switch was removed and a compatible dimmer installed. The dimmer was operated through its full range to check that the light responded to the new control. For the fan, a customer-provided unit was installed with its support and mounting bracket secured, and the fan and light wiring completed. The stacked switch was then changed to the requested single-pole switch, with its wiring reconfigured for the new arrangement.

Function checks and finish

The crew tested the fan at its available speeds, switched its light on and off, and operated the replacement single-pole switch after rewiring. With the dimmer also checked across its range, all three updates were functioning before the devices were secured and the work area was cleaned.
